DACI’s Unique Diagnostic and Treatment Capabilities
Safe, no radiation, economical: one emitter, one lens, one mirror, one detector
Simple to manufacture. Scalable. Lower cost production.
Acoustic emitter maintains coherence; Collects only intensity emitted by virtual source.
Imaging perspective from inside to outside the body (Virtual Source)
Each disease has a characteristic SOS and each emitted frequency gives a unique image.
Both acoustic frequencies, 100 kHz and 300 kHz are focused to the same point, i.e., virtual source, for imaging (100 kHz and 300 kHz separately) and treatment (100 kHz and 300 kHz together).
DACI’s Award Winning RAFA Lens (Reflective Advanced Focusing Apertured Lens)
Made for 2.5, 5, 7.5 and 10 cm focus depths.
Verified performance using laser.
How does DACI Detect Cancer?
DACI measures speed-of-sound (SOS) affected by the following:
Cell size
Cellular granularity
Biochemical layer hiding disease from T-cells
Tissue elasticity (becomes hard like a golf ball)
Enhanced blood flow that increases its temperature
Immune cell infiltration and inflammation
These factors all change during the progression of cancer.
DACI allows the monitoring of disease progression and any changes.
Expands possibilities for research not possible by other means.
Simulated of Lesions in Object
Transmission acoustic image of 3 equally sized lesions/tumors.
Soft tissue is imaged by putting objects slightly out of focus to create Fresnel fringes.
Simulated DACI SOS Image of Lesions
Size of phase shift or SOS change enables lesion to be diagnosed (by type and state of the disease).
Summary: Advantages of DACI + RAFA Lens
Measures composition and tissue state optimizing diagnosis of diseased tissue
Greater, deep body penetration than current Imaging technology
Imaging perspective from inside to outside the body (Virtual Source)
Safe, low cost and easy to manufacture
Dual diagnostic and therapeutic applications
Versatile configuration design (supports many types of body exams)
Beams, focused to same probe position, enhances diagnosis and treatment
