As CEO of SOS Imaging, Victoria leads Strategy for the clinical application of the company’s breakthrough technology in women’s health, Operations, Fundraising, Business Development, and Regulatory. A seasoned entrepreneur, Victoria has been a co-Founder and C-suite executive of early stage ventures developing novel diagnostics and therapeutics focused on: Vision Restoration(Retinitis Pigmentosa), Skin Cancer and Melanoma, Breast and Ovarian cancer. She leverages her unique clinical and business skills to lead Strategy, Business and Clinic Operations, Strategic Partnerships, Business Development, Fundraising, FDA Regulatory Approval, Contracting, Legal, Commercialization. Victoria was co-Founder and CEO of Iontherapeutics, a vision restoration company; COO of Vita Imaging which is focused on skin cancer detection. She serves as Advisor to industry and academic Accelerator Programs.
Victoria held healthcare leadership positions in Provider, Hospital and Payor organizations including: CAO, of College Medical Center; VP, Medical Management at Pacificare Health Systems; Executive Director, Managed Care MSO at Scripps Clinic and Green Hospital; Director, IT Operations at Tenet Healthcare; Consultant at Deloitte and boutique firms.
Victoria has an MBA from Pace University, BSN from the University of Tennessee Center for Health Sciences. She received her clinical training at Yale-New Haven Hospital.
As CSO of SOS Imaging, Dr. Herring leads the development of speed of sound (SOS), breakthrough diagnostic technology for application in women’s health, ovarian and breast cancer, and other diseases. He is the lead Inventor of DACI (Diffuse Acoustic Confocal Imager) and award winning RAFA Lens.
Dr. Herring is a trained Materials Scientist and Engineer with expertise in creating new non-invasive, innovative Imaging systems for clinical applications. A prolific Inventor, he has been granted 15+ Patents plus many Provisional Patents. Dr. Herring has authored over 250 Publications. He is the Director of Advanced Microscopy Facility at the University of Victoria, British Columbia and leads a Research Program developing breakthrough imaging systems and nanotechnology for diverse applications.
