Dr. Wang is a Breast Radiologist at the Markey Cancer Center and an Assistant Professor of Radiology at the University of Kentucky. Dr. Wang is passionate about the application of new technological developments to improve patient care through Imaging. She actively engages in multi-disciplinary collaborations across institutions and industry which, she believes, is critical to bridging gaps between basic science and clinical practice. Dr. Wang has served as Principal Investigator (PI) and co-Investigator on clinical research funded by the National Cancer Institute (NCI), American Cancer Society and other Grant entities that focused on improving Imaging diagnoses and Imaging guided procedures to optimize patient care and the role of AI/deep learning on newly emerging breast imaging technology including Tomosynthesis. In her role as PI of basic and translational clinical research, Dr. Wang has managed multidisciplinary teams from Medicine and Engineering. Dr. Wang has presented at over 25 national and international professional conferences and published over 21 scientific manuscripts in peer reviewed publications. Dr. Wang brings unique expertise based on her background in clinical imaging, medical research, translational clinical research.
Dr. Wang earned her medical degree at the University of Kentucky in Lexington; Residency in Diagnostic Radiology at the University of Kentucky, Lexington; and Fellowship at the University of Chicago specializing in Breast Imaging.
Dr. Wolf is Board Certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology with Special Qualification in Gynecologic Oncology. A recognized expert in the field, Dr. Wolf has over thirty years combined clinical and industry leadership experience which include: Division Chief of Surgery at Banner MD Anderson Cancer Center; Faculty Member at The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center in the Department of Gynecologic Oncology, Division of Surgery and Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences; Chief Medical Officer, ProvistaDx; and Chief Medical Officer, Vermillion, Inc. Dr. Wolf has served as Principal Investigator (PI) of multiple clinical research grants focused on breast, ovarian and other gynecologic cancers. She is the author of peer reviewed publications.
Dr. Wolf obtained her medical degree at Northeastern Ohio Universities College of Medicine; her postgraduate training at the University of Texas Health Science Center, San Antonio; Fellowship, in Gynecologic Surgery, University of Minnesota and Fellowship in Gynecologic Oncology from The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center.
Dr. B.J. Rimel is a Board Certified Gynecologic Oncologist at Cedars-Sinai Cancer Hospital in Los Angeles with a research focus on disparities of ovarian and endometrial cancer care. Dr. Rimel is the Medical Director of the Cedars-Sinai Cancer Clinical Trials Office and serves as the clinical trials spokeswoman for Cedars-Sinai Cancer and a medical liaison between clinical trial Principal Investigators and hospital leadership to optimize quality of patient services. She is an Associate Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology in the Division of Gynecologic Oncology at Cedars-Sinai Cancer. As Associate Director of Gynecologic Oncology Clinical Trials, Dr. Rimel engages patients in novel therapies for gynecologic cancers by eliminating barriers to clinical trial enrollment particularly for underrepresented populations. Her work optimizing patient access was awarded a Human Subjects Research Protection Award of Excellence for Best Practice by the Health Improvement Institute in 2013. As Principal Investigator (PI), Dr. Rimel has designed and implemented clinical trials locally and nationally in ovarian and uterine cancers. In March 2021, she presented the first phase of NRG the role of Cediranib and/or Olaparib in recurrent progressive endometrial cancer. Dr. Rimel is passionate about promoting equity in gynecologic cancer care and has established partnerships with technology companies that obtain and analyze cancer patient data to improve clinical trial equity. Dr. Rimel recently presented at a congressionally requested conference on the scope of cervical cancer treatment disparities in the U.S. and has authored/co-authored more than 50 peer-reviewed publications.
Dr. Rimel earned her medical degree at Duke University School of Medicine; Residency at Northwestern University Medical School; and Fellowship at Washington University School of Medicine.
